When I talk to small business owners, I sense the burning entrepreneurial spirit. But the moment I ask about the copy, it all falls apart. I get to see the most horrific ads, websites, and funnels that can't get unseen.
People often ask me what I do as a copywriter. I write copy for emails and websites.
Some will groan that copywriting couldn't make a difference in their businesses. This happens when the marketing-sales relationship is broken.
Here's where I forge my second skill: closing. The seamless art of sealing the deal on the phone by empathizing with people and providing the best solution to their needs.
With the blending of copy and closing, I communicate a message clearly and simply to then sell the product or service myself. Copy may sell low-ticket items, but when it comes to higher offers, closing will do the job.
THE ACE UNDER MY SLEEVES
Writing copy since 2016 and closing for a Two Comma Club influencer since July 2019, I've experienced tough rallies and learned from the best.
Not only may I sell through the written or spoken word. As a proud Mexican, I also write copy and close in Spanish.
Everyone can make things complex. Geniuses, they say, make the complex simple.

As a member of a closing team, starting 2020 I created three email sequences to automate the follow-up process.
These sequences were designed for:
1 - People who left the wrong info
2 - People who talked to you on the phone
3 - People who didn't pick up the phone
Here are the results.
Sometimes it's not about the number of words.
But it is always about simplicity and clarity.
In 2019, I created the copy for Attingo's first website, a Canadian digital insurance broker.
Now, my own website stands as an example of simplicity and a clear message.
Besides, I write copy for Social Media Relations, a digital marketing agency based in Los Angeles, CA.
Leads are one thing. Sales are a different world.
There's a huge gap between the two.
